|Description:||Understanding unemployment compensation and the application of its laws can be tricky. If you are a new employer or have an employee responsible for handling unemployment compensation’s requests for information, then this FREE seminar is for you. Topics to be discussed: • Overview of the claims filing process, the determination process and appeal rights. • Review of forms an employer may receive when a claim is opened. • How information provided by the employer is used to determine the claimant’s eligibility and to protect the employer’s liability. • Time frame and importance of a timely response to complete forms. A Q&A session will be included at the conclusion of the seminar. A PA Department of Labor & Industry, Office of Unemployment Compensation Benefits, representative will be presenting this workshop.|

"Unemployment Compensation 101" will be held at the Techcelerator/Murata Business Center on October 22, 2014 from 10-11:30 AM. Directions to the workshop are attached below. There is a large parking lot at the end of the street behind the building. Enter the double doors, turn right and go to the conference room at the end of the hallway.
